You'll get to be happy.

The subject of this blog update is my current favourite musical, Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years. I've been listening to it for three weeks or so. Something like that.

I'm not going to get all into the plot or anything, but I'll say this: there are only two characters. It's depressing, but uplifting at the same time.

Basically every song kicks ass, really. The cast recording is top notch, though Jake and Nick don't like Norbert Leo Butz's (yeah, that's Fiyero) take on Jamie, I'm rather fond of it. And Sherie Rene Scott is perfect as Cathy, though hearing Katie Wolf's take on "Still Hurting" has completely changed the way I think of the song forever.

Katie, just so you know, I'm your biggest fan. And you'll probably never read this, but you rock.
